patio and planting for new build in
ashtead

Brief

The brief for this new build garden was a bigger patio for dining, some screening, and to retain an area of lawn.

Design

The garden had a slight slope so required steps and raised beds. Areas of tumbled Indian sandstone setts combine with a sandstone patio and brick edgings.

The outdoor furniture fits perfectly within the space and the block style is complementary to the overall design.

Planting includes my client's own plants that had been in pots, together with a Prunus serrula tree with attractive shiny bronze bark providing screening, Hydrangeas. Persicaria and Miscanthus 'Zebrinus'.

The shed is screened by honeysuckle on a trellis. The space saving washing line is wall mounted, made by Brabantia www.brabantia.com

'Nancy had a blank canvas with the back garden to our new build house. She listened to what we wanted, understood the kind of people we are, took into account the position / soil type etc. and weaved her magic! So pleased with the results! Nancy and Simon have popped back every couple of years to help us maintain and make the most the garden.'
