Naturalistic garden in Banstead looking good!

This naturalistic and eco-friendly garden (see my portfolio for more details), was built by www.harringtonbrothers.co.uk  earlier this year and these latest photos were taken by Ross Harrington during a recent visit.

Considering it was only planted in May this year, hot on the heels of Ross finishing the landscaping, it is maturing nicely.

Sinewy curves weave through the garden, wrapping around the pond which is real focus in the garden and a place to gravitate towards.  Sitting here is a must and the beauty of this non built- in bench is that it can be moved around to catch the sun.

Soft mauves of Aster frikartii ‘Monch’ and Perovskia are still going strong and the red berries of Malus ‘Red Sentinel’ have appeared::

The Italian Liquidambar parasol trees near the house contrast with the wilder, free flowing nature of the rest of the planting. They have yet to turn their stunning autumnal shades of burgundy and reds:

The pond was constructed with characterful Horsham Stone www.horshamstone.co.uk

And the ‘Poppy’ bowl from Urban Design www.urbisdesign.co.uk is a beautiful thing in itself as well as an alternative watering hole for wildlife:

All in all we are delighted with the end result of this garden. A reminder of how it looked this time last year, pre-design and pre-construction:

It’s been a joy to not only have the chance to design this garden but to also see it brought to life and be loved and nurtured so well by my clients.
